Dr. Meron Negash Andemichael is passionate about dentistry and patient care. He strives to make everyone feel comfortable and provides the space to make an informed decision about oral care.
Dr. Andemichael is a world traveler. Born in Eritrea, and raised in Egypt and then Canada before settling in the United States 25 years ago. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Toronto. He attended dental school at the University of Maryland. Upon graduating, he committed his career to the service of dentistry. Dr. Andemichael spent 13 years on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, improving access to care. There he wore many hats serving as staff dentist, dental director, and medical director. He was credentialed and served as adjunct faculty for AT Still Dental School, Lutheran Medical Dental Residency Program, and UNC Adam School of Dentistry. His commitment to rural dentistry and commitment to dental education brought him to North Carolina through ECU School of Dentistry where he served as dental director and Associate Professor at the Community Learning Service Center in Lillington.
Dr. Andemichael has continued with his life of service by volunteering regularly through the Baptist Dental Bus, which provides free dental services to those in need. He is a member of Lillington Rotary Club, which embodies service above self. He is also a Sunday school teacher in the Coptic Orthodox Church, helping shape future generations through his services and mentorship.
Dr. Andemichael loves being active and spending time with his wife, kids, and dog Sade-Mae.
